While I understand the difficulty you've found yourself, I'm sure you also appreciate that it would not be appropriate for me to give you an advantage (such as an extension) over your classmates. Even if I wished to, however, I fear the schedule of decisions would not allow for it.
If you would like to supplement this letter in any way, and can do so before the deadline, I will certainly take it into consideration but I do need to submit my own recommendations promptly.
That said, regardless of how you fare with the current application process, I would be glad to speak with you further about the process of becoming a teacher here (or I'm sure other faculty would, as well.)
While you are correct that the CCF will not necessarily focus directly on relevant skills for teaching, it is intended to help create an environment where leadership, organisation, and logistical skills can grow, all of which are quite important to successful teaching. And, frankly, I rather I'd taken more opportunities to polish my dueling, defense, and offensive spells during my own time at Hogwarts, and kept them up better since. You can never be too well prepared!
