Jul. 29th, 2010 04:07 pmWell, that was not really the outing I thought it would be.
I didn't think that someone not seeing the Aurors would be more exciting than what we all did see, for one thing.
Longbottom, I didn't mean anything by it when I thought maybe they didn't let you in. It should have been obvious, anyway, that there wouldn't have been any kind of...security risk, I guess. Anyway. No hard feelings, yeah?
I hope the actors actually show up for the panto tonight.

on 2010-07-29 08:16 pm (UTC)I mean, this is more realistic in a way.

on 2010-07-29 08:18 pm (UTC)You'd think we could have got there ten minutes earlier and we'd have seen the same thing as last week's group.

on 2010-07-29 08:45 pm (UTC)Look on the bright side--at least nobody's thought they've seen Snape or MacNair this week.

on 2010-07-29 11:49 pm (UTC)As you were told this morning, Magical Law Enforcement is not in the business of entertaining children. Particularly disruptive, disrespectful children.
And you, Corner. You think it would be funny to cry 'Snape!' this week? I believe you'll find it less entertaining in practice.
And your next visit to our department is certain to exceed your wildest expectations.

on 2010-07-30 12:28 am (UTC)Only we weren't disruptive - most of us, anyways. We were respectful, too, sir. And them as weren't got sent away.

on 2010-07-30 03:30 am (UTC)It is maddening indeed to meet with mealy-mouthed excuses - from other parents, even! - regarding how the pupils are to be cossetted along.
Peakes has at least got the right idea with his young charge. Too many of them believe their duty as Governors is to ensure their own progeny are never brought to account.

on 2010-07-30 03:36 am (UTC)Perhaps this weekend we should find a moment to chat about the process.

on 2010-07-30 12:25 pm (UTC)But of course, I should be happy to discuss the current slate, their terms of office and what may be done to ensure competent service going into next term.

Sorry if that disappoints some of you.At least you got to see something, Corner.

on 2010-07-29 08:29 pm (UTC)So you really didn't miss anything.
Baddock says you threw the first punch, though. Blimey, Longbottom, that takes stones. Crabbe and Goyle can thump just about anyone in our year. What'd you want to go and do that for, anyway?

on 2010-07-29 08:34 pm (UTC)But punching? My sweet boy?
Re: ORDER ONLY
on 2010-07-29 08:51 pm (UTC)I remember one Quidditch match in particular.... I'm surprised he didn't get grounded from the game for the duration.
Re: ORDER ONLY
on 2010-07-29 08:56 pm (UTC)Still.
He must have been terribly provoked to even try anything that foolhardy. Because that doesn't sound like the Neville I know.
Re: ORDER ONLY
on 2010-07-29 09:42 pm (UTC)and I'm pretty sure these little pieces of shit had it coming to them too.
I Solemnly Swear That I Am Up To No Good
on 2010-07-29 08:56 pm (UTC)Re: I Solemnly Swear That I Am Up To No Good
on 2010-07-29 09:08 pm (UTC)Crabbe and Goyle cornered me in the last turn of the corridor, just before we were all about to go in. They said they didn't see why I should get to go in when my parents--well, never mind what they said. I'm sure you can imagine the general idea. And that led to one thing and then another, and then it was just a mess until Baddock peeled them off of me. My nose was bleeding all over everything. And then Baddock smirked as he said, 'Well, what did you expect, Longbottom?' He lied through his teeth to back up Crabbe when Crabbe told Professor Sinistra I threw the first punch.
Re: I Solemnly Swear That I Am Up To No Good
on 2010-07-29 09:25 pm (UTC)They're not going to make you keep rooming together, are they?
Re: I Solemnly Swear That I Am Up To No Good
on 2010-07-29 09:29 pm (UTC)It better not be that Ptolemy Baddock, though.
Professor Sinistra wanted me to apologise to Crabbe. And I wouldn't do it. I said I was sorry there was a scene, but I wouldn't say sorry for something I didn't do. And that's why I got sent back to the Horseguards. I don't think they'll send me home early. But I don't get to do any of the rest of the events today.
Sorry to be whinging. But it was the Auror training I wanted to see most of all.
Re: I Solemnly Swear That I Am Up To No Good
on 2010-07-29 09:33 pm (UTC)Crabbe and Goyle are idiots.
I expected better of Ptolemy, though.

But still, how transparent is that?
Re: I Solemnly Swear That I Am Up To No Good
on 2010-07-30 03:11 am (UTC)I had to miss the theater tonight, but Professor Sinistra says if I turn in all my lines tomorrow morning, I'll be able to go with the group tomorrow.
I'll be keeping away from Crabbe and Goyle, though.

That's why I'm not half prepared for them to tell us the panto's off too.

on 2010-07-29 08:48 pm (UTC)I mean, it's still been fun. But I guess they couldn't make it as nift twice in a row.
Maybe next year we'll get to do something all in one big group again.
